The York Center Fire Department approached Rage Agency with a unique challenge: help them market and sell a used fire engine. What began as a simple asset sale quickly turned into a strategic marketing opportunity—with an exceptional result.
Brief
With initial offers topping out at just $30,000, the department wanted to broaden its reach and maximize the vehicle’s value. Rage was brought in to develop a complete sales strategy that would appeal to the right buyers and reflect the engine’s quality and service history.
Work
We designed and launched a custom, single-purpose website that professionally showcased the vehicle’s features and condition. To support the listing, we photographed and filmed the engine on-site, producing high-quality visuals that helped it stand out from standard government auction listings. We also developed a targeted email list and executed a campaign to reach qualified buyers across the country.
Results
Thanks to the coordinated campaign and elevated presentation, the fire engine sold for $70,000—more than double the initial highest bid.
